I used to enjoy the great quality of the fresh food prepared and the quantity was appreciable however, the taste and the amount of food depreciated as time went on. I used to enjoy most of the chicken dishes but they tend to be of lesser quality now. Chicken masala was one of my favorite dishes but the chicken itself turned into mashed chicken instead of bigger chunks. The flavor of most dishes tend to have lost their zest altogether.
No need to meal prep, shop, cook, clean; it's a working moms dream. My toddler loves to share the pasta dishes with me. My husband hates microwaved food and he loves Freshly. Their customer service is also really fast and easy to work with. I just wish they would bring back the almond ginger chicken bowl. And I'd like more vegetarian options. But the menu changes so it's fun to see what new things arrive!
We've been using Freshly for over a year and love their healthy and fast meal options. Having something easy to pull out of the fridge and warm up is a lifesaver on busy nights, especially when I can trust it to taste good and not be bad for my body or waist line.
Also, their customer service is fast and friendly. Pheter helped me out via chat this week with the first meal mixup we've had (after MONTHS, so still a great track record). Easy as pie to get things straightened out.

I'm a new Freshly subscriber, but I'm so enchanted by the frictionless experience I've had, and so taken by the delectable options I've enjoyed, that I'm happily compelled to recommend their service to anyone who wants a decent meal at a fair price - conveniently delivered with care and efficiency.
I highly recommend Freshly without reservation. The only things better than the food are the amazing people ready to serve you.
This was a gift from my niece for 36 meals. The first 3 were so bad I don't even know what to do. Keep trying? Paella, brisket, and sauteed string beans were all way below even mediocre. Weird tastes for all.
One week later: I see that I am getting a chance to edit my review, even though I can't see that it was ever published. After writing the above paragraph, I was contacted by Freshly, but Sitejabber (as far as I can see) never published my review.
I am 72 years old, NOT a picky eater, but I have thrown out more food (Freshly) in the past week that I ever have in my life. Actually, I can't even remember the last time I threw out food.

I hope I'm wrong, but I would say this food is horrible. Doesn't taste good.
Update: I was not wrong. This food has a terrible taste. Weird. Can't imagine what horrible stuff they are putting into these boxes.

My order was delayed in shipping. In addition to meeting me know by email what was going on, they credited my account for a meal. When it arrived late enough to be warm and unfit to eat, I contacted customer service. Josh was prompt and friendly, refunding my meals, and an additional credit. The only thing that would make it better is getting replacement meals sent.
Freshly saves you time and the hassle of grocery shopping by delivering delicious food to your doorstep each week. During this pandemic it might have literally saved lives. I've recommended Freshly to my friends and family and they've been equally impressed. Good sized portions, great variety of meals to choose from, and always outstanding customer service.
Meals are mushee and overcooked. We followed directions perfectly and after 6 different meal options we were DONE. I even got sick from their brisket meal. When I asked for my money back I was told NO refund. I could have a credit for a future order. We've cancelled our subscription. Very disturb that this food service is given such high ratings. The food is aweful.
I chatted w/Ash about the possibility of some lower carb options becoming available. I know you're adding new recipes all the time. I'm working to get my weight back in check and really like meals w/35 grams of less of carbs. I do have a couple of dietary restrictions - no pork being the primary one. Ash was very helpful and I appreciate her time.
I have been ordering from Freshly for six months now.
The selections of gourmet balanced meals is outstanding, beef, pork, chicken, turkey, shrimp and vegan. And it seems like they add new, interesting meals each week.
The packaging insures the frozen meals don't thaw (when delivery men sometimes put right in the sun when dropping off!)
The customer service beats all other online services. A telephone number is given (wow!) and my emails have been answered within 2-3 hours.

With all that is going on it is truly comforting that I do not have to be concerned about food. Every week without fail, the meals are left on my front porch. Thank you. If that was not enough, the food is great! All I have to do it throw it in the micowave and delicious meals appear. They rotate the menu so there is always something new to try, but they keep the really popular meals. I tried several services before Freshly, but none were as good.
I had a question concerning a meal substitution Freshly notified me about and Pau K answered my email within a few minutes. He told me what the meal would be and also provided a partial credit. I am very satisfied with the response and its speed. On the rare occasions when I have had any issues with our order, large or small, Freshly has been very responsive. Good food and great customer service is a winning combination!
I tried Freshly several months ago in an effort to have fresh, nutritious, low calorie food without the hassle of buying the right items at the grocery store and actually preparing a meal. I could not be happier with both the quality of the meals and the service. Freshly should be applauded for its ability to continue timely weekly delivery during a time when I am sure the number of folks using their service has increased due to COVID-19 concerns.
I had expected 10 meals in my first delivery! As I stocked my fridge and checked the manifest, I realized I was missing 2 meals. I hopped on the freshly app and did a live chat with Alex F. Who was very polite and offered to credit my account for the 2 missing meals. He even explained that my box could have been packed too quickly and the 2 meals just didn't make it in. I appreciated the explanation since things do happen sometimes. I'm looking forward to enjoying these meals!
I have been so satisfied with Freshly its wonderful. The meals keep me in during the work day, and away from fast food.
They are great when i get home late from work, or any meal on the weekend.
My mouth is extremely sensative to spices. I've had to go through several trials to find things i can handle. I have been able to find 4 or 5 that i can tolerate. That works for me.
They sent the wrong meals and I immediately contacted them. They offered $20 of credit for 5 meals I could not eat. The meals cost 10 or 11 a piece and they acknowledged the error but would only give me a $20 credit. This was week 2. I stopped it. If you can't get what you ordered and can't get a credit what good is it?
Most of the meals from Freshly that I've re-heated aren't particularly appetizing. Perhaps I need to add seasonings to it. Perhaps if I re-heated them on the stove instead of the microwave they would taste better. Or maybe they just lose something between preparation time and the time they are served, which judging by current transit times, is a minimum of three days. I'm just not getting a lot of flavor. That said, I do appreciate the large serving of vegetables, and I've enjoyed the steak entree several times.
The food is great (IF you receive it on your scheduled delivery date or one day late). My last several orders have been 3 to 5 days late (no longer edible). Freshly acts like this is unusual yet it keeps happening. I'm sure the delivery varies depending on where you live. But it has been very disappointing for me.
So far all meals have been quite tasty, of good quality and value. But the under 500 calorie / low carb choices are limited and I get bored pretty easily so when my taste buds rebel at the sameness, I will need a big break. Also I wish I could select Saturday or Sunday as my delivery day.
My meals arrived a day later than usual with half melted freezer packs. Since these meals are for my daughter in college, I wanted to be extra careful that they weren't spoiled in transit. Just a quick chat with Ivy put my mind totally at ease. She even double checked to make sure the meals were cool to the touch as they should be. She was polite and friendly. I felt like I was a valued customer
We were given a gift voucher on Freshly, which we used up. Cost is too high to keep going, so we cancelled. When you cancel on their website, they instantly e-mail that your subscription is re-activated. I e-mailed their customer service (Alexander) and asked for a cancellation which he confirmed. But no - it's auto-reactivated and the next customer service rep (Will) can't do a thing about it. This time I blocked them in Paypal. Freshly is a fraud.
The chef isn't crying in their apron about the cancellation. They're busy fraudulently reactivating accounts.
I'm pretty excited to give my sister-in-law a week of Freshly meals to try! I used the chat function two separate times during the purchase... to find the correct gift section, and then again to correct an error I made inputting the recipient email address. Fast, efficient, effective... who could ask for more?
We got Freshly meals for our son who is a Division 1 athlete. He loves the convenience of just having to heat up his meal - no chopping or meal prep! We love that he's eating healthy foods to fuel his performance.
My main feedback is that I would love the option to send him a 2-4 serving meal! He eats 3 meals in one sitting! I would imagine a bigger serving option might be preferable for families as well?
I have been purchasing Freshly meals for the past year and a half. The sizes are perfect for me and I generally pack some away for lunch the next day. I have tried 3/4 of the meals and have never been let down. There are a lot of choices.
They are always delivered on time and packed beautifully in the boxes. They come fresh and ready to microwave. Very simple preparation.
