Sewing, crafting, crocheting - Virtual Opportunity-Soldiers' Angels Sewing and Crafting Team

Provide lovingly created handmade pieces of comfort and support to veterans, deployed service members and their families. No matter if you are an expert seamstress or a casual hobbyist, there is an opportunity to meet the needs of our troops on the Sewing and Crafting Team. Many Sewing and Crafting Team Angels (volunteers) rely on their personal talents and skill sets to knit, sew, crochet and quilt their gifts of support. For those less experienced, no-sew blankets provide an opportunity to become more involved. These handmade items are then distributed within the military community to active duty service members, expectant military families and in VA hospitals around the country. Support Female Caregivers Virtually-Soldiers' Angels Women of Valor

The Women of Valor Program focuses on female caregivers of post-9/11 wounded, ill and injured service members and veterans. We are seeking female volunteers (Team Angels) to support these selfless heroes. Our Team Angels support these women by sending small, meaningful gifts, and cards of encouragement throughout the year to let the caregivers know that they are not alone in their journey. With the challenges that these Women of Valor face on a daily basis, the love and encouragement offered by our Team Angels provides them that little bit of strength and reassurance. Soldiers’ Angels Holiday Adopt-A-Family program helps businesses, organizations, and individuals support qualified military and veteran families that could use some help providing a holiday celebration for their families. Eligible families will receive (at minimum) gifts for each child and a grocery gift card to put towards a holiday meal. We are looking for administrative assistance in vetting these families! Looking for a fun and different way to help our Veterans? Are you able to have fast, lighthearted conversations? Then you may be the person we are looking for! Soldiers' Angels, a national non-profit that provides support to VA's all around the country is looking for a volunteer to help the Spokane VA as a golf cart driver. You would drive veterans that are going to the VA from the parking lot to the front door and vice versa. This helps so many veterans that have mobility issues to provide a quick and easy way to their appointments.
